The Presbytery of the Grand Canyon purchased property at 1330 E. Union Hills for a new church development, initially called "Hillside"

*The name of Crosswinds came about as a result of a contest. A youth proposed the idea with the explanation: Crosswinds-The Spirit/Wind of God who carries the word of the cross of Jesus Christ into the far corners of the world, and into the hearts of those who welcome Him in faith.
