What is Crosswinds Like?
We are a community of Christians who try to live our lives by trusting and obeying God, relying on Jesus Christ as our guide and Savior.

Whether it is in worship on Sunday mornings, studies during the week, or working together on missions or other projects, we are a people who enjoy being together. Crosswinds is a place where all are made welcome: the young, the not-so-young, families or singles, new believers, the long-time faithful, or those who are still questioning and searching. We all have a place in God's kingdom, and we rejoice in the possibilities God brings us!
Our worship style is grounded in the Reformed tradition, but perhaps offered in a more relaxed style than usual. There is no dress code here, and we celebrate God in a variety of musical styles.

Our pastor, Michael Hartwell, has been serving God at Crosswinds since January 2001. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, and he is a long-time fan of the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks & the Arizona Cardinals. As for his own sports career, he usually plays third base on our church's softball team.
Pastor Michael's sermons are presented in a casual, conversational style, yet they are biblically sound and relevant. He's able to take theological truths and make them understandable and applicable to everyday life (and his sermons aren't too long either!).
